Mentor Woman's Club Community Involvement


Since 1939, Mentor Woman's Club members have volunteered thousands of hours to the community, schools, hospitals, and other  organizations. Some of the current community projects include college scholarships, Buckeye Girls State, 7th Grade Essay Prize, bookmobile and baby caps to LakeEast Hospital, Wildwood Cultural Center Garden, and HOBY.

In addition, the Club supports "It's Better in Mentor" Festival, Hope Chest, Salvation Army, Kind News Primary Newspaper, Lake County Free Clinic, Lake County Historical Society, Suit Yourself, YMCA Camperships, and Project Hope.

Mentor Woman's Club was recognized as Organization of the Year by Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce in 2000. In 1999, the club received the JC Penney Company Golden Rule Award as Volunteer Organization of the Year.
